They say that you should save the best till last, well I think they've saved the hardest till last. This blogs will be short and sweet featuring an example of both deductive and inductive reasoning.
Deductive reasoning is an inference from general claim to a particular conclusion. For this example I will use the 2001 World Trade Center attack. A suicide attacks against America's governmental buildings are done by terrorists. These suicide attacks occurred to government building therefore it was done by terrorists.
Inductive reasoning is an inference from many particular claims to a general claim or to other particular claims. For this example I will talk about my mum's work (Bundaberg Special School). A student tripped over an unmarked step, so did multiple other students therefore all students will trip over an unmarked step.
